WSET Level 2 Award in wine– 4-Day Intensive Course

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is an internationally recognized wine course designed for beginners and intermediates who want a deeper understanding of wine. The course provides a solid foundation in wine tasting, grape varieties, wine styles, and key wine regions around the world.

Over the span of four full classroom days (28 hours), combined with 11 hours of private study, participants will:

  • Learn to taste and describe wines using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT)

  • Explore the key grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and many more

  • Understand how climate, viticulture, winemaking and maturation influence style and quality

  • Study over 70 wine regions and their characteristic styles

  • Gain insight into sparkling and fortified wines

  • Learn wine label terminology and how to interpret origin and quality indicators

  • Understand principles of food and wine pairing, and best practices for wine storage and service

The course includes tutored tastings of 40 wines, and concludes with a 1-hour multiple-choice exam

The course will take place from the 6th to the 9th of October.

Breakfast from 8:30 AM and lunch are included daily.

 

About the instructor:
Felice Capasso is a certified WSET Wine & Spirits Educator and former bartender with over 10 years of global experience. He is the founder of Sesto Senso, driven by a deep passion for flavor, education, and craftsmanship in the world of wine and spirits.
